CURRENT EXHIBITION

Gallery One One presents Refuge, an exhibition of glass sculpture by Susan Taylor Glasgow. Contemplative and humorous, Glasgow's work celebrates the pleasure and pain of growing up female. Susan describes her process as "finely honed homemaking skills gone awry", as she manipulates glass into meditations on identity, home, and the feminine ideal. Her sculptures are perplexing and masterful in their ability to trick the eye, transforming glass into chocolate cake, aprons, and paper doll legs. Demonstrating a difficult range of image transfer and glass casting techniques, Refuge keeps the viewer's mind and eye dancing between reality, memory, texture, and form.
Susan Taylor Glasgow is represented by Heller Gallery, NYC, and is exhibited throughout the United States.
