SOG Kids: Private Birthday Parties

Does your birthday boy love art? Need a new idea for your creative daughter? Celebrate your child's Birthday at Brazee Street School of Glass (SOG)! SOG offers private Birthday Party classes to students ages 6 and up. Give your child an experience they'll love, creating fused glass art with all their best friends!

Party Policies + Pricing

Brazee Street School of Glass offers a variety of Birthday Party options for your young artist. Pricing varies depending on the project, but our minimum Project Fee is $300. We prefer parties of at least 10 guests, up to around 20.

If party guests are younger than 6 years old, we require that a parent or guardian accompany each child, and we require an additional $50 pre-firing fee, which will ensure that the glass pieces are free of sharp edges. We can accommodate no more than 12 children under age six.

Your Party Will Include

- Use of the studio for two hours. If you stay longer than your scheduled time, a minimum $30 fee will be added for each additional hour.
- An individual project for each party guest and/or a collaborative project as a gift for the Birthday child. Project Fees must add up to at least $300.
- Glass preparation, class instruction, and kiln firing. Projects must be fired in the kiln overnight, sometimes longer. Plan to pick up your group’s pieces one week after the party date.
-And a SOG Kids t-shirt for the Birthday child!

Availablity

We reserve Saturdays from 1-3pm for birthday parties. Additional times may be available during the week, depending on our calendar, but a $30/hour studio rental fee will be added to your deposit.

Snacks + Treats

Bring your own cake, drinks, snacks, plates, and silverware! We do have a refrigerator and microwave on site that you may use, but we do not have a freezer. Please be sure to help clean up any food mess before leaving the studio.

Safety

Please ask guests to wear closed toed shoes in the studio. Provided safety glasses are to be worn at all times while working with the glass. Children over 6 years old may bend glass stringers over tea light candles, but proper safety must be observed.

Extras

Bring an iPod to play your own party music! We have an iPod hookup in the studio that you are free to use. Be sure to allow time for eating snacks and opening gifts, if desired. If you need more than two hours for your party, you may rent the space for an additional $30/hour.

Collaborative Projects for the Birthday Child, $50-$150

Imagine all of your child's best friends collaborated on one large plate as a birthday present? Parties can be designed so that students work collaboratively on one project. Our large plates run from $50-$150 depending on the size you'd like. Students could additionally create their own coaster ($10 each) or suncatcher ($15 each) to take home as their own.

Glass Bead Making
$150/student, 8 student max, ages 12 and up, 4-hour class
This is an incredible experience for your budding beader. Students create glass beads with their own torch with the guidance of our instructors.
