Thursday, October 13, 5:30-7:00pm
This month, we are focusing on simple shapes used often in Beads of Courage beads. Students will learn how to manipulate and shape their beads into basic shapes such as rectangles, squares, ovals, hearts and more.
Some beadmaking experience required. Students who have taken "Introduction to Glass Beadmaking Part 1 or 2", or who can illustrate their beadmaking proficiency, are eligible. Bring 3-5 bead samples with you if you are unsure of your eligibility. If you are just a beginner- don't worry! Join us for a few SUPERSTAR workshops until you are ready!
30 minutes of instruction/demo will be given at 5:30pm. Students are asked to donate 1-hour of their time following instruction to make beads for BOC. Students may stay and continue to make beads until 8pm.
Beads of Courage: SUPER-STAR WORKSHOPS are free demonstrations designed to build flameworking skills for students with the purpose of growing our community of flameworkers who can participate in the Beads of Courage program. Want to make beads for Beads of Courage (BOC)? Join us for these workshops to learn more about the "Dos" and "Don'ts" of flameworking for Children's Hospital, and most importantly - to join our community of flameworkers who love to GIVE BACK.
ALL GLASS IS DONATED! You donate your time, and we will provide the glass.
Instructor: Josh Bass
