Explore color, line and texture in this art history inspired class! Learn about the life and art of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Students will pull inspiration from his iconic use of color, line, simple shapes, and unique collaging of images to create their own collaged cityscape lamp bender. Students will create their own powder wafers using stencils as well as glass line paint, stringer, rod dots, sheet glass, frit, and confetti and more.
Students must wear respirators (provided) while working with glass powder.
SUMMER CAMP - STAY ALL DAY AT BRAZEE - Register for this individual class, or sign up for multiple classes in a single week to "Stay-All-Day" at Brazee! *Students may bring a lunch and "Stay-All-Day" at Brazee if they take both morning and afternoon workshops in the same day.
Students must wear closed-toed shoes in the studio.
Projects will be available for pickup one week after class date.
