We are firing up our torches to support an innovative Arts-in-Medicine program for children coping with serious illness called Beads of Courage! Beads of Courage empowers children to RECORD, TELL and OWN their story of COURAGE. Over the course of their journey participants receive handmade glass beads which represents a treatment, test or procedure that a child faced, but also says, “I did it!” Join us for one of our favorite events of the year!
Brazee Street Studios is hosting an Open Studio event to create glass beads for children battling serious illnesses at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and all over the country.
We need volunteers to sign up for two hour torch slots to create beads* and help with activities around the studio- including clay polymer bead making, bracelet making and more!
*(note: all help is appreciated, however torch slots are reserved for experienced torch workers only. The beads we donate have to meet specific hospital-approved guidelines).
