Be incredible in this brand new 3-day comprehensive pattern bar workshop! Students will learn the glass pattern bar process from start to finish while combining it with strips on edge, and pattern flow parts, as they design a truly incredible finished piece.
Students will begin by designing, cutting, and assembling their pattern bar parts. After firing, students will coldwork using a tile saw to create their own pattern bars to build their own plate. After learning to properly assemble their plate in the kiln, students will learn coldworking techniques to beautifully finish off their creation once fired. Already taken a pattern bar class? Expand on your skills in this mash-up of pattern bar techniques!
No experience necessary. Glass cutting experience helpful.
Students will be coldworking on a wet tile saw. Wear closed toed shoes. Wear shoes and clothes you don't mind if they get wet on day 2 and 3. Aprons available.
