Brazee is thrilled to welcome back Visiting Instructor Kim Fields to teach this two-day flameworking workshop. Explore surface relief techniques to create beautiful floral beads with master flameworker Kim Fields.
This workshop is designed to strengthen your skills as a beadmaker and assist you in achieving your own unique encased and surface relief floral designs. Techniques will include multi-layer encasing, assembling canes, color mixing, overlays, murrini application and sculpting on the bead surface. We’ll also focus on perfecting your bead shapes, heat control, and controlled application and manipulation of stringers and dots.
This workshop is intermediate level.
Students will be using Effetre COE 104 glass.
Kim Fields has over 18 years of flameworking experience, and has taught at many of the most prestigious glass studios throughout the U.S. as well as in Europe and Japan. Students must wear closed-toed shoes in the studio.
